background info

I was born in Virginia on February 22,1732. I grew up with a planter family my parents names were Augustine Washington and Mary Ball Washington. At the age of sixteen i finish with school, and i helped survey shenandoah lands from Thomas Lord Lairfax. Then i worked as a farmer and then i became a soldier. After a few years i got married with a widow named Martha Dandridge Washington, i lived a happy life with her. I had two older half brothers. I pursued two interest in military arts and western expansion. I fought the first skirmishes that grew into the french and indian war. in may 1775, i was elected commander of the continental army. In December 14,1799 i died of a throat infection.
